These few simple words were imparted by Moses to the Israelites at the time of instructing them about their new identity as a Jewish people and the commandments he had been instructed by G-d. Moses spoke of examples of G-d's work and miracles.
These words have become an affirmation used by many, with Chassidic rebbes recommending meditating on them, simultaneously making our personal requests. There are many stories of those, who in extremely difficult circumstances repeated these words and managed to escape their fate. Words of faith.
