The "Woman of Valor" (Eishet Chayil) poem from Proverbs 31 (10-31) was written by King Solomon as an ode to the ideal woman.  It serves as a timeless description of a G-d -fearing, diligent, entrepreneurial, and compassionate woman, transcending strict domesticity to celebrate inner strength, leadership and character. It is traditionally sung by Jewish males (husbands and sons) on Shabbat evenings to honor the matriarch's multifaceted roles.
